Matchbox Smokey the Fire Truck is an interactive working fire truck which talks, tells jokes, eats, exercises and sings. It even has a water cannon in which you load water balls. The truck has two modes: truck mode and character mode. Character mode is engaged when half or fully upright. In character mode he says such things as “Smokey here! Reporting for duty!”

Smokey knows 95 different phrases and can sing four songs. He has sensors and responds depending on what you are doing with him. Your child will definitely have hours of fun with this toy.

Rocky The Robot Truck Deluxe

Aimed at the 3 years plus age group, Rocky the Robot Truck will give hours of fun. Whilst most toy trucks are fairly static and don’t do too much, Rocky is an interactive dump truck that talks, drives, lifts, dumps and even dances.

Made of strong and durable plastic, Rocky can carry heavy loads. You can manually tilt his dump bed to unload it, or if you ask him, he’ll do it for you. When you push him forward or pull him back, his blue headlights activate and he’ll make a noise of his own with engine and honking sounds.  The primary way to control the Rocky truck is by the smokestack on the front of the truck. When you tilt the lever back Rocky stands on his back four wheels. When you press the red button on top of the smokestack several times Rocky will shake his upper truck body to music. Pressing the lever forward will return rocky back to his normal truck position.

Matchbox Stinky The Garbage Truck

Stinky the garbage truck is an interactive articulated garbage truck who talks, tells jokes, eats, exercises and sings like his buddy Rocky the robot truck. He is the latest addition to the Big Rig Buddies line. He has a moveable, white driver’s cab which turns like a head, and his front wheels rear up, either manually or in response to different sensory buttons.

When he’s pushed and pulled in his vehicle position, he’ll turn his head-like cab side to side and blink his headlights. To have Stinky speak, push or pull his smokestack, lift his rear door, or poke his belly button.

Some reviewers have noted that Stinky is loud and has no volume control – you may want to bear that in mind.

Playskool Chuck My Talking Truck

An ideal toy truck for kids aged 2 years and over, this is a fun and fully-motorized toy that can play over 40 sounds and phrases. Chuck has some other really cool features including shaking and moving his bumper and dump bed. The best thing, however, is that he is voice activated, so that when you call him, he starts to drive and comes towards you. The Chuck truck is made of soft rubber which will not hurt your child or cause any damage to your furniture.

This red and yellow truck has a cartoon like face and four different touch sensors in order to start up easily. This is great for young kids to help them improve their hand to eye co-ordination. One thing to be aware of is that if he is near the television or radio, his sensors can get confused with the extra voices, causing him to keep moving when he hasn’t been asked to.
